Darius Jurgelevičius
Darius Jurgelevičius, before coming to APS, was the Deputy Director General of the Lithuanian State Security Department, and prior to that was the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Since leaving Lithuanian government service, he has worked as an advisor to and high level negotiator for the Lithuanian government, for the European Union, and as an advisor to a number of political leaders in eastern Europe, including presidents, prime ministers, and other seniors officials – including the Ministry of the Interior and intelligence services during pro-European governments in Georgia and Moldova. Jurgelevičius has extensive high-level relationships throughout the region and deep knowledge of the political realities in the countries in which he has worked, especially in the intersection of politics with economics. Ambassador Jurgelevičius is a lawyer by training before achieving additional education at Stanford University’s Hoover Institute, the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies, the Academy of International Law in The Hague, and at Helsinki University. He holds the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
